Why not use FaceTime or WhatsApp to enable grandparents or other family members to listen and watch as your child reads to them

Home School Ideas

(Posted on 20 April 2020)BBC Bitesize has launched a big push to help children - and parents - with home-learning, but what's realistic, and where can parents find support?

Many schools provided learning packs when the lockdown started, and are trying to run some online learning - for this, they are relying on parents being able to supervise their children.

But what is more important, say educationalists, is maintaining a degree of normality, rather than worrying about a child's progress in English or maths.

Home-schooling for now is about encouraging parents to help their children create regular routines and study habits

Rememer to start the day with a PE session to warm up and get ready for lessons

Also, ensure children have some time outdoors and also have fun
